This month we celebrate Mother’s Day - if
you go by the name the card companies give it - or MOTHERING SUNDAY to give it
its ancient title.
Whatever you choose to call it, March
14th is the day when we have an opportunity to say a ‘thank you’ to mums.
We will be doing that at St Martin’s at
11.00am with a special service for families and at a communion service at St
Philip’s at 9.30am.
During both of these services there will
also be an opportunity to light a candle for a mum who is no longer with us - a
mum you can't give a card to today.
So if you are celebrating with your
family, or simply looking back with fondness, you would be most welcome to come
and join us at either of our services.
Happy
Mothering Sunday!
Revd Joyce

Strategy
Statement adopted by PCC of Exning with Landwade February 18th, 2010
“Our purpose is
to grow God's kingdom in this place by developing links with our community, as
Churches and individuals, by asking the community how we can meet its needs and
then prioritize our actions through prayer and discernment.
We will nurture a sense of belonging for those currently in our Church and for
those we welcome in the future.”
Welcome to the "Exning
with Landwade website" ... which we launched in March 2008.
We hope this will be of interest to:
People living in the
Exning & Newmarket area who may want to know more about the churches in
their area, what goes on, when services take place, who to contact etc
Those living away from the
area who may have family or church links and are interested in recent
events and want to make a "virtual visit" to Exning
Those who have past family
links and are trying to check on information on those who are buried in
the Churchyard
... and of course those
who are members of the church family who want to keep up to date with
events
